There is no way to properly express our gratitude to the many, many people, churches, organizations and businesses of our community who have made it possible for our center to open and continue to provide resources and services to our homeless guests. We also owe a debt of gratitude to God for providing the inspiration, the love and the energy that we need to serve our homeless population. Please take a few moments to browse these links to people and organizations who are making big differences in our guests' lives.
Puyallup United Methodist Church
People from Puyallup United Methodist Church recently beautified our building with lovely pots of flowers and by trimming weeds on the property. We are so grateful!
Puyallup Food Bank
The Puyallup Food Bank sends food items to New Hope to fill Go-Bags for our guests, so they needn't travel there.
Puyallup Marriott Hotel
A big thank you to the Marriott for the load of donations that arrived last week. All items had been collected by employees at the Marriott and delivered to the New Hope Resource Center to be distributed to people experiencing homelessness. So wonderful to have a great community partner like Marriott Hotels. The connection for this donation was made by Paula Anderson at One Another Foundation.
John & Morgen Asher
Thanks to John and Morgen Asher, NHRC has a large-screen TV and DVD player, so that our guests can watch movies and news.
Shawn recently donated a much-needed refrigerator to New Hope.
We appreciate your generosity!
After hearing that we needed a freezer, Bob Taylor bought us a new 21 cubic foot frostless freezer. We desperately needed a freezer to store foods and to keep ice for summertime iced tea and lemonade.
Now we can even offer our guests ice cream and popsicles on hot days!
Here are Darcy Cline and Karen Jensen, who brought us some frozen food this morning. Now we can store this food for later use.
